| Dominiek makes jewellery using titanium and silver.
Titanium is a tough and stable metal, notoriously difficult to work with.
The characteristic colour of the jewellery is acquired through a process of anodization.
The pieces undergo a treatment in an acid bath through which an electric current is passed.
These pieces in titanium and silver are hammered, pulled and coaxed into each unique shape - created
through the channelling of much physical energy resulting in what you can see here.
Every piece has its own unique character. No two pieces are ever the same. The techniques Dominiek uses with titanium are unique in the Netherlands.
